January 18, 2016. Recognized by environmentalists at the “25 Years of Environmental Actions in Romania” event.


The prize for research category was awarded to Flaviu Turcu, assistant professor from Babes-Bolyai University. The event organized by Green Planed Association and Romanian Environmental Association with the support of Romanian Environment, Waters and Forests Ministry was held at Romania National Opera in Bucharest. June 30, 2010, Richland WA. U.S. Department of Energy Under Secretary Steve Koonin visited PNNL and NMR facility.


In less than 9 month the top three leaders of US Department of Energy visited PNNL and EMSL’s NMR facility. NMR spectroscopy was one of the analytical techniques, which was engaged in IS3 efforts to in situ investigated phenomena associated CO2 subsurface sequestration. IS3 was part of the Carbon Sequestration Initiative (CSI) a 2009 Pacific Northwest LDRD. Read more
