- talk with the Professor about the project
- make a search in the literature, on WWW or any other source You might access on the proposed problem, (se what other guys found…..)
- make the experimental setup (as simply as you can..)
- make the necessary measurements, repeat them
several times to get a good statistics on the results
- make a conclusion on experiment (state some laws,
that describe in a simple manner the experimental
results)
- try to explain what you have measured (construct a
simple theory that makes the observed results understandable for you)
- discuss the applicability of your theory, what you
can and what you cannot explain
- summarize all your work in a 3-4 page long paper
